New York, May 20 (JEN): United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday expressed deep sorrow at the loss of lives and injuries caused by the recent tragic collapse of a building in Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)
Ban’s spokesperson said the top UN official’s thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the people of the DPRK.
He expressed the UN’s solidarity with the Government and offered assistance.
According to media reports, a 23-story apartment building that is believed to have housed at least 90 families collapsed last week in the capital story.
