Kabul: An Afghanistan family from Dasht-e-Barchi area has claimed their 25-year-old daughter was shot dead in a check-post controlled by Taliban, media reports said.
Family members of the slain Zainab said that they or the way home back from a wedding function were stopped in a check post and were then shot at, reports Khaama Press.
The victim's father is now demanding that the culprits be arrested and an investigation takes place into the incident.
The motive behind the shooting is not yet clear but the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan pledged to be investigating the case and bring to justice the perpetrators, reports the news agency.
