 Covid-19 Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 36 people have died with Covid-19 and 2,198 new patients have been identified in Bangladesh, an official press release notified.
It said the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the country was 4,79,743 with 2,198 people identified till 8 am.
The total number of deaths from coronavirus in the country stood at 6,874, with 36 people dying in the last one day.
According to the Department of Health, another 2,663 patients have been cured in the last one day. The total number of people who recovered has increased to 3,98,623.
According to the Department of Health, in the last 24 hours, 14,369 samples have been tested in 112 RT-PCR labs, 15 Gene-Expert Labs and 10 Rapid Antigen Labs across the country, for a total of 137 labs. So far 28,77,538 samples have been tested.
Considering the sample test in 24 hours, the detection rate is 15.30 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.67 percent.
