Dhaka: The deadly coronavirus has killed 35 more people in a day while another 2,316 new infections were recorded. The latest information on the coronavirus situation in the country was issued by the Department of Health in a press release on Thursday afternoon.
With the latest findings, the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the country reached 4,71,739.
The total number of deaths from coronavirus in the country stood at 6,748 with 35 people dying in the last 24 hours.
According to the Department of Health, 2,593 more patients have been cured in the last one day. The total number of recoveries has increased to 3,88,379.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8, and it crossed 4.5 lakh on November 24.
Of these, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.
According to the Department of Health, 16,807 samples have been tested in 118 labs across the country in the last 24 hours.
So far 28,20,981 samples have been tested.
Considering the sample test in 24 hours, the detection rate is 13.78 percent, while the total detection rate is 16.72 percent. The recovery rate is 82.33 percent and the death rate is 1.43 percent.
