A German woman, who was kidnapped by Hamas members on October 7, has died and her body was recovered by Israeli troops in Gaza, Israel's Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday.
Shani Louk, 23, was reportedly kidnapped when she was attending the Supernova music festival close to the Gaza border.
The festival was one of the targets of the Hamas members on October 7.
The Foreign Ministry posted on X: "We are devastated to share that the death of 23 year old German-Israeli Shani Luk was confirmed."
"Shani who was kidnapped from a music festival and tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists, experienced unfathomable horrors," the Ministry said.
"Our hearts are broken. May her memory be a blessing," the Ministry said.
According to reports, the German national was paraded naked in a pick-up truck after she was captured.
