If you are tired of working from an office cubicle, Dubai authorities are offering a unique opportunity to get your work done amid greenery and nature, with the launch of the city's first dedicated ‘Work from Park’ facility.

The facility opened at Al Barsha Pond Park on November 2, offering residents and visitors an alternative to conventional office spaces.

Dubai Municipality launched the initiative in collaboration with flexible workspace platform Letswork, which will manage its day-to-day operations, Gulf News reported.

People can work for free from designated outdoor seating areas around the facility, including a pergola and rooftop spaces, without the need for prior booking.

"Outside is completely free for people to just come, sit and work," Omar Al Mheiri, co-founder and CTO of Letswork, told Gulf News.

Users are only required to follow the facility's rules while using the designated workspaces.

Mohannad Al-Omari, business development manager at Group AMANA, the company responsible for building the facility, said it would provide all the necessary connectivity and infrastructure.

"There will be power, internet, everything, with sockets, so people can be connected in and out," he told Gulf News.

The indoor facility will remain open from 8 am to 8 pm.

It features a co-working space accommodating up to 30 people, with walk-in access available for Dh50 per day. The day pass includes access to the workspace and a complimentary coffee, the report said.

Users can book their indoor workspace through the Letswork app, website or WhatsApp, Al Mheiri said.

Dubai Media Office had earlier described the initiative as an innovative urban model that transforms public parks into productivity-friendly environments for entrepreneurs, freelancers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the growing remote-working community, while preserving their recreational purpose.
