IsraAID is an international non-governmental humanitarian aid organization based in Israel. Since we were founded in 2001, our teams have worked in emergency and long-term development settings in more than 50 countries worldwide.

The emergency - On February 24, 2022, Russian troops entered the country after weeks of heightened tensions and escalating conflict in eastern Ukraine. Major attacks have been reported across Ukraine, including in the capital, Kyiv. As a result of the situation, people began to flee the country, pushing hundreds of thousands of people to move across borders to neighboring European countries.

IsraAID in Moldova and Romania - IsraAID deployed an emergency international team to Moldova and Romania to provide urgent support to the large and rapidly growing numbers of Ukrainians fleeing to the border in search of safety. IsraAID's team supports Ukrainian refugees in Moldova and supplies humanitarian aid to southern Ukraine from the Tulcea Humanitarian Logistics Hub in Romania.

IsraAID has partnered with local NGOs and authorities in Tulcea, Romania, to create a Humanitarian Logistics Hub to streamline aid donations and ensure supply chains of essential humanitarian items, including medical supplies, clothes, and food, to southern Ukraine. Tulcea, separated by the Danube River from the Ukrainian city of Izmail, provides access to supply routes across south Ukraine, including Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
