JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Protection Project Officer

Duty Station: Gaziantep, Turkey

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK

• Developing and implementing project management plan/s, in coordination with line manager and other respective departments, and according to agreed proposal scope, logical framework and timeline.
• Perform Day-to-Day follow up and make sure that the project is running as per scope and plans.
• Developing, monitoring and updating a relevant Risk Analysis plan dedicated to the project.
• Developing, maintaining and improving any coordination relationships vital to project success, and to ensure inclusive, sustained, quality impact.
• Maintain a constructive and positive communication liaison between project field/HQ Employees and Senior Management
• Engaging with competent departments/personnel to accomplish tasks and requirements pertaining directly to project (MEAL, HR, Logistic & Procurement, A&F, R&D, ..others)
• Conducting and maintaining comprehensive and full project documentation and archiving.
• Participating actively as projects team member to improve department efficiency, reduce costs and assist in improvement of product through customer experiences.
• Supervising and stimulating procurement activities as required ensuring on time delivery of components and equipment.
• Preparing, developing and submitting all reports pertaining to the project.
• Feeding other relevant reports, information systems with data/information related to the project
• Developing project closure plan considering ethical and do no harm principles
• Managing project staff relationships, roles, responsibilities and conducting required monitoring and evaluation plans.
• Developing a clear and direct presentation on project’s definition of project scope, objectives, duration, beneficiaries, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinating with MEAL to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Educational background in Social Science, International Relations, Law, or any relevant field.
• Understanding of emergency response and two years of relevant professional experience, including experience in gender, GBV, CP or protection programming
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training and of group facilitation.
• Strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues
• Demonstrated sensitivity to protection issues, including application of the principle of confidentiality
• Ability to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to work well with a team
• Excellent reporting skills
• Strong problem-solving and innovation to address gaps and challenges
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce timely and high quality of work
• Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability
• Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives
• Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Arabic is essential and proficiency in English is required.
• Able to work legally in Turkey (Turkish nationally or having valid residency)
