The World Justice Project (WJP) is seeking a bilingual (Spanish and English) full-time Junior Graphic Designer Consultant to work in the WJP's office in Mexico City, Mexico. This is a current vacancy, with an immediate start.

Responsibilities: The Junior Graphic Designer will report directly to WJP's Graphic Designer based in Mexico City, and will work collaboratively with WJP's global design team. This position will provide crucial support for the design team, and will assist with the planning and production of the WJP's full portfolio of internally-designed products, including data-driven reports, thematic micro sites, digital-facing campaigns, and branded media collateral. The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Contribute to the design, layout, and overall production of the WJP's existing and future products, including the annual WJP Rule of Law Index and graphical country reports;
• Assist with the conceptualization, planning, and execution of microsites featuring WJP products and initiatives;
• Work closely with the WJP's internal teams in Washington, DC and Mexico City to produce high-level presentations, infographics, graphs, and communications materials;
• Provide general design support, including rapid production of social media graphics, event flyers, and other promotional materials;
• Support the design and communications teams in updating and expanding the visual language of WJP's website and supporting collateral;
• Work collaboratively with the WJP internal teams and external consultants as needed to ensure deadlines are met and material is produced to the highest quality and in-line with WJP brand standards.
• Work within existing brand standards to produce unique, engaging campaigns that are effective across a variety of platforms.

Qualifications: Successful applicants will be a recent graduate or junior-level designer with six months to two years of experience. Ideal applicants will have a strong academic record and be motivated, highly dependable, and passionate about the ways in which design can be used for social good. Candidates should also demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• A portfolio demonstrating advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Premier/After Effects a plus);
• Experience with both digital and print production and optimizing products to translate across multiple channels;
• Experience with illustration and icon development (animation a plus);
• Skills in visualizing and translating large amounts of complex information into digestible and eye-catching illustrations and infographics;
• Experience with data visualization strongly preferred;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in both Spanish and English required, and ability to give and receive feedback;
• Exceptional attention to detail;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize workload and daily assignments;
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels, work in a collaborative team environment, and work independently;
• Interest and willingness to develop new skills;

Physical Requirements: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity as well as sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. In addition, the employee may need to remain seated for long periods of time, have the ability to perform repetitive motions, grasp objects, including a writing instrument, stand, communicate verbally and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. The employee may be required to walk, push or pull objects, bend, squat, reach, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for extensive reading and data analysis. Working Conditions: The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. The employee typically works indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels.
