Depending on the qualifications and experiences we are looking for an engaged Climate and Restoration Engagement Officer or Manager (m/w/d) who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in our multinational environment.

The Scope

To support engagement activities of the FSC Climate and Restoration Programmes.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

• To coordinate and implement projects with partners connected to climate change, ecosystem services and forest landscape restoration.
• To support the development and implementation of external partnership agreements related to climate change, forest landscape restoration, and Ecosystem Services.
• To support the implementation and coordination of joint efforts between FSC International and its key internal partner organizations, such as the FSC Network.
• To coordinate and produce communication materials related to climate change and forest landscape restoration, targeted to specific, identified audiences.
• Additional Tasks as agreed with the FSC Climate Director.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Education and Training:

• University degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Forest Products, Marketing, or Communication.

Working Experience, Style and Skills:

• More than 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in in one or more of the following:

1. Climate change related forest project development or implementation,
2. Forest restoration projects,
3. Carbon accounting and carbon markets,
4. Sustainable investment and finances,
5. Payment for ecosystem services,
6. Corporate environmental responsibility programs.

• Proven professional abilities in managing complex projects in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills including experience in data analysis for market intelligence.
• Collaborative working style and team building skills.
• Strong and demonstrated diligence and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to perform well while handling simultaneously a number of support functions.

Languages:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Spanish is a plus.

Computer Skills

• Good skills in the use of standard software packages (MS Office).
• Design software knowledge is a plus.

Communication Skills:

• Very good verbal and written communication skills.

Terms and Conditions

• Location: Bonn, Germany.
• Working Hours: Full time: 40 hours per week.
• Starting Date: as soon as possible.
• Duration of Employment: 2 Years.
