Coronavirus kills 39 people across Bangladesh in a day Covid-19

Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 39 people have died of coronavirus in Bangladesh- taking the national death tally to 13,071. At the same time, 1,637 people have been diagnosed with the deadly virus. The total number of infected patients rose to 8,24,486.

In the last 24 hours, 2,108 people have recovered from the coronavirus, according to a regular press release from the health department on Saturday (June 12). As a result, a total of 7,64,024 people have recovered so far in the country.

Meanwhile, 11,661 samples were collected and 11,590 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The detection rate was 14.12 percent compared to the sample test. So far, a total of 61,56,363 samples have been tested in the country. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 13.39 percent.

Of the 39 people killed in the last 24 hours, 10 were from Dhaka division, six from Chittagong division, seven from Rajshahi division, 11 from Khulna division, 2 each from Barisal and Rangpur division and 1 from Sylhet division.

Among those who died in the last 24 hours were 26 men and 13 women. While three of them died at home, the rest died at hospitals. Of the 13,071 deaths so far from the virus, 9,406 were males and 3,665 were females.

The age-based analysis found that 20 of those who died in the last 24 hours were over 60 years old. Seven people were aged 51 to 60, seven people aged 41 to 50, 4 people aged 31 to 40 and 1 person aged 21 to 30.
