Dhaka: The deadly coronavirus has claimed the lives of 37 more people in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh. Among them 28 are men and nine are women, an official press release said.
While 36 people died at the hospital and one died at home. As a result, the death toll in coronavirus rose to 6,967.
At this time, another 1,861 new patients infected with coronavirus have been identified. The total number of identified patients in the country stood at 4,85,965.
Besides, 4,486 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 4,10,452 people have recovered.
It further said that in the last 24 hours, 16,600 samples were collected in 140 laboratories and 16,625 samples were tested. The total number of sample tests stood at 29,27,929.
Compared to the sample test in the last 24 hours, the patient identification rate is 11.44 percent. So far, the patient identification rate considering the sample test is 16.60 percent. Considering the total number of patients identified, the recovery rate is 84.86 percent and the death rate is 1.43 percent.
Among the deceased, 23 were from Dhaka division, seven from Chittagong division, two from Rajshahi division, two from Sylhet division and three from Mymensingh division.
