Covid-19 Dhaka: The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 6,644 in the country in the last 24 hours, with another 35 deaths.
Another 2,525 people were infected with the disease, the most in the last three months.
On September 2, 2,582 patients were identified by the Department of Health.
A total of 4,64,932 patients have been identified in the country till 8 am on Monday.
As per the Department of Health, another 2,539 patients undergoing treatment at their residences and hospitals have recovered in the last one day.
The total number of healthy patients is 3,80,711.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8, and it crossed 4,50,000 on November 24.
Of these, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.
On March 18, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death in the country.
On November 4, it exceeded six thousand.
Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest death toll in a single day.
