Washington: US President Donald Trump on Monday took a dig at 'fake news' media for allegedly carrying out a 'witch hunt' against his administration.
Brushing aside speculations that everything in the White House might not be well, Trump said, "The White House is running very smoothly despite phony Witch Hunts etc. There is great Energy and unending Stamina, both necessary to get things done. We are accomplishing the unthinkable and setting positive records while doing so! Fake News is going 'bonkers!'"
"The Fake News is going crazy making up false stories and using only unnamed sources (who don’t exist). They are totally unhinged, and the great success of this Administration is making them do and say things that even they can’t believe they are saying. Truly bad people!" another tweet read.
Speculations are doing the round regarding Trump's mental health and many have doubted his administrative abilities.
Trump, who was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States in January 2017, has either sacked or removed many people from important posts, during his stint.
