Armed terrorists stormed into an under-construction building in Khuda-i-Abadan area of Panjgur town in Pakistan on Saturday when they killed seven labourers, media reports said.
The labourers belonged to Multan region in Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have condemned the deadly attack on the labourers.
The PM also sought a report on the incident from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
At the time of the attack, the construction workers were sleeping in the same room of the house that they were building in Mohalla Abdul Rehman, police told Dawn News, adding that the armed men opened indiscriminate fire with automatic weapons.
“Seven labourers were killed on the spot and another was injured in the firing,” Inspector General Police Moazzam Jah Ansari told Dawn.
Police rushed to the spot after the incident came to light.
The victims were taken to a local hospital.
