At least two soldiers were hurt as a landmine planted on the main Bara-Tirah Road exploded during routine bomb detection exercise on Sunday morning, media reports said.
They said that an eight-member bomb disposal squad was conducting an explosive detection exercise in Ghaibi Neeka locality when they spotted an improvised explosive device planted on the road in Mammal Pati area, reports Dawn News.
They said that the BD squad immediately took cover off the road to avoid any casualty, but two of them, identified as Tahir and Iftikhar, received minor injuries when they were hit by the IED shrapnel.
Security forces later reached the spot.
