Kabul: Taliban gunmen have kidnapped six health workers, incuding three women, from Dawlatyar district of western Ghor province in Afghanistan, media reports said on Tuesday.
Public health director Juma Yaqobi told local Pajhwok Afghan News that the Taliban militants abducted the victims along with an ambulance, while the latter were returning from Lal wa Sarjangal district’s hospital.
The kidnapped women have been identified as medical students.
Police have launched an operation to rescue the abducted people.
Taliban has not yet commented on the issue so far.
