Tehran: A bus carrying 25 journalists overturned in northwestern Iran, killing two reporters and injuring 21 others on Wednesday, state-run IRNA news agency said.
The journalists- all Iranian nationals- were travelling from the capital, Tehran, to West Azarbaijan province to view a revitalization project at Urmiah Lake.
The accident took place near the province's Naqadeh county.
According to reports, the cause of the vehicle overturning wasn't immediately clear.
IRNA quoted the head of provincial emergency services, Baqer Bahrami, as saying two journalists died in the crash.
One among the two deceased was an employee of the IRNA and the other worked for the semi-official ISNA news agency.
They have been identified as Mahshid Karimi and Reihaneh Yasini by Bahrami.
The head of provincial emergency services said those injured were moved to a hospital in Naqadeh.
