Kabul: Five security force members and a pilot were among nine men who were killed after a helicopter that was carrying them crashed landed in Afghanistan's Maidan Wardak on Thursday.
According to reports, the incident took place around 1:30 am in Behsud district.
Tolo News quoted sources as saying that the helicopter was shot down by armed men, however, it is yet to be confirmed by officials.
The Defence Ministry said that the incident is under investigation.
No group, including the Taliban, so far has claimed responsibility for carrying out the attack.
