Kabul: At least one person died and five others suffered injuries in a blast near a private university in Afghanistan on Sunday.
The incident took place in Maidan Wardak province's Maidan Shahr.
According to police, the bomb was placed along the wall of the university.
The deceased has been identified as Ghiasuddin, a commander of Hizb-e-Islami, by Sahrifullah Hotak, a member of the Provincial Council in Maidan Wardak.
Hotak said Ghiasuddin was among the three people killed in the blast.
Hizb-e-Islami is yet to comment on the report.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
