Kabul: At least two people were killed in an explosion in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at around 11:30 am near the Independent Election Commission's office in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital.
Officials said that apart from the deceased, at least four people suffered injuries.
Provincial governor's spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said that one among the injured is in a critical condition.
Witnesses said that protesters had gathered outside the office, when the blast took place.
No group has claimed the attack.
