Kabul: At least six people have been killed in an explosion in Afghanistan's Herat province on Monday, local Tolo News reported.
Additionally, nine people, including three children, were wounded.
The incident took place in Shindand district in western Herat.
The casualties are all civilians.
According to officials, an explosive-laden rickshaw was parked at the Shindand Bazaar.
The explosives were detonated at around 4 pm.
Witnesses told Tolo News that the explosion took place when children were 'leaving a school and a mosque in the area'.
No group has so far claimed responsibility of carrying out the attack.
