Kabul: Over 20 people have reportedly died in the Kabul suicide attack, while at least 18 people have sustained injuries.
The blast happened after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive near a crowd celebrating New Year in Afghanistan's capital city Kabul.
The incident took place close to Ali Abad Hospital and Kabul University on Wednesday at around noon.
According to police, the attacker used a car bomb.
Security forces have cordoned off the area.
