EDGE Funders Alliance is seeking a full-time Programs Manager to lead the design and implementation of all programmatic initiatives (in-person and online), support learning and collaboration among network members and social movement allies through our intersectional justice initiatives, contribute to approaches that increase the visibility of the organization to key audiences, and advance strategic goals.
This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in being a part of a small, decentralized, global team that works closely to build collective power for change through funder and social movement organizing. The Programs Manager will ensure that EDGE’s programs are aligned with our values and meaningfully contribute to our goals, and supervise the Programs and Communications Coordinator’s work to implement a communications approach that is integrated into and adds value to the programmatic and organizational strategies.

We are looking for an organized and motivated professional who shares our values, is committed to intersectional justice, and interested in strengthening the programmatic infrastructure of an expanding, global organization.
Lead the design and implementation of all ongoing programs and special projects (see list here: https://bit.ly/EDGE-info), including creating the annual work plan for carrying out the priorities of the organizational strategy.

Participate in meetings, convenings, and webinars to maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in philanthropy and social movements.
Build and manage relationships with external consultants, as needed.
Support the Programs and Communications Coordinator to develop and implement a plan for integrated communications, create and maintain a program and communications calendar to coordinate activities, and design methods to evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities.
Supervise and complete performance assessments and contribute to the professional development of the Programs and Communications Coordinator.
Proactively seek out opportunities to share EDGE’s work with key audiences in alignment with the goals in the communications plan.
Relevant experience and record of success in a leadership role that is responsible for program strategy, design, and implementation, preferably in an international context in the nonprofit, civil society, or philanthropy sectors.
Demonstrated ability to balance big picture, long-term, strategic thinking with understanding and executing the day-to-day tasks of multiple projects.
Clear understanding of the role of philanthropy and of civil society organizations and a commitment to mobilizing resources for social movements and systemic alternatives.
Knowledge and experience working on intersectional justice issues (especially gender, racial, economic, and climate justice) with a clear understanding or systemic change approaches. Familiarity with Just Transition frameworks is an asset.
Ability to build relationships across sectors and work with funders and civil society actors.
