Kabul: The head of population registration department in the Shahrak district of western Ghor province was killed by Taliban insurgents on Friday, media reports said on Saturday.
A credible security source, wishing anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants had pulled Abdul Salam out from his house and gunned him down outside on Friday night.
The Afghanistan-based news agency said Taliban has not commented on the issue so far.
