Dhaka: In the four months from March to June this year, 177 people have been killed in lightning strikes across Bangladesh. At least 47 people were burnt at the same time. Sirajganj has been identified as a new hotspot for casualties in lightning strikes. Besides, the deaths in Chapainawabganj, Jamalapur, Netrokona and Chittagong have increased. more
