At least five people, including three women, have been arrested over the killing of a Sikh man in Ilford, East London.
Police earlier said they believe the target and the accused people were known to each other.
The deceased person was identified as 30-year-old Gurmuk Singh, known as Gary.
Police Singh suffered multiple stabbings at a residential property on Felbrigge Road.
"The London Ambulance Service called police to an altercation. First responding emergency workers treated the man at the scene for stab wounds but despite their best efforts he sadly died," Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
On July 23, Police have arrested a man named Amardeep Singh, 27, of Redbridge, IG3 on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey for trial on January 5.
"Detectives also arrested a 29-year-old man and three women aged 29, 30 and 54. They have all since been bailed until October 2025 while enquiries continue," police said.
Paying tribute to the deceased, Singh's family members said in a statement: "Gary was a well-loved man who had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met."
"A true social butterfly, nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his family. Gary will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever," the statement said.
