Dodoma: A passenger plane belonging to Tanzania's Precision Air crashed into Lake Victoria while attempting to land, the airlines said on Sunday.
The airlines said the plane was carrying 39 passengers, which included one infant, at the time of the crash.
"The rescue is ongoing and we can confirm 26 passengers have been rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical care," Precision Air said in a statement.

No death has been confirmed so far.
The rescue team has been dispatched to the scene.
