Taliban Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi is scheduled to visit Pakistan on Wednesday.
This is the first time since the fall of the former President Ashraf Ghani-led government that a delegation from the country, now ruled by Taliban, will visit Islamabad.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi confirmed the development and tweeted: " A senior delegation led by FM Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi will travel to Pakistan on Nov 10."
"Delegation will discuss enhancing ties, economy, transit, refugees & expanding facilities for movement of people, & will include Ministers & working groups from Finance & Trade Ministries," he said.
Since the exit of the foriegn force, the Taliban captured regions across the country till entering Kaul city on Aug 15.
The insurgents announced the formation of their interim government in September.
