Kabul: At least two people, including a prosecutor, were killed in a blast in Afghanistan's Helmand province on Saturday.
According to local media reports, the blast took place near the provincial police headquarters in the city of Lashkargah.
One among the deceased has been identified as Sayed Mahmood Sadat, head of the NDS prosecutors’ office in Helmand.
The other deceased is one of the prosecutor's security guards, Helmand governor Abdul Nabi Ilham confirmed.
According to the governor, eight people, including a woman, were injured in the blast.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
