Kabul: Flash floods triggered by heavy rains have killed over 100 people in different parts of Afghanistan.
The calamity also left nearly 150 people injured, reports said.
Parwan province alone accounted for 85 of the 110 reported deaths. Another 110 people were wounded.
At least 10 people were killed and an equal number of people injured in Kapisa province, local Tolo News quoted Shayeq Shoresh, a provincial police spokesman as saying.
Thousands of acres of lands and gardens were destroyed by the floods.
In Maidan Wardak province, the inundation led to the displacement of 264 families.
According to local officials, At least seven people were killed and five others were wounded.
Three children are also said to be missing.
In Kabul's Surobi district eight people have died while 14 others have been injured.
