About Myanmar Programme of People in Need:

People in Need (PIN) (www.peopleinneed.cz/en) is an international, non-profit organization providing humanitarian and development assistance around the world. In Myanmar, People in Need started to work in 2002, when it launched the financial assistance to civil society groups and independent media. After 2008, PIN provided humanitarian and relief aid to people affected by typhoon Nargis. Since 2012, PIN has been operating directly from Myanmar, our programs focus primarily on knowledge transfer, capacity building and support of local initiatives in remote areas. In areas affected by armed conflicts (such as in Rakhine and Kachin State) we provide humanitarian assistance.

About the role:

The Head of Systems & Operations (HoSO) is a member of the Country Management Team for PIN Myanmar and shares responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of People in Need’s Myanmar Country Programme.

Specifically, the role of the Head of Systems & Operations is to manage and improve the support systems required to achieve this objective comprising Procurement and Logistics, Finance and Accounting, HR, and Administration.

In performing this role, the Head of Systems & Operations will ensure an enabling environment for the implementation of the Country Programme, while maintaining operations and systems that meet the accountability requirements of People in Need and its donors, auditors, and legislation. HoSO also directly leads the process of development and staff capacity building across the departments in terms of the systems and operations. HoSO reports to the Country Director and is a line manager to the Head of Finance and Head of Operations along with whom he/she ensures efficient and functional structures of respective departments.

Main Areas of Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership;
• Quality and risk management;
• Ensuring external (donors, auditors, legislation) and internal compliance (PIN systems, policies and procedures);
• Overall oversight and connecting the Management of Departments of Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, and Procurement and addressing the gaps and needs;
• Ensuring efficient and functional Country Programme Operational setup;
• Ensuring efficient capacity development of staff as well as PIN partners.

For this position, we consider important:

• University graduate;
• Education in finance, business, accounting, procurement, logistics, or similar study programmes;
• Previous experience in a similar position is preferred, Experience in finance is a must;
• Communicative level of English (minimum of active B2);
• Ability to coordinate and communicate clearly with different groups of people; and to respect different cultural backgrounds;
• Ability to work independently and effectively;
• Ability to deal with complex compliance agenda;
• Analytical skills and systematic approach;
• Responsibility, ownership, proactive approach, flexibility;
• Strong training/coaching skills;
• Keen eye for details and passion for working with numbers;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Experience with project management is welcome;
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Dynamics Nav, or other ERP is an advantage.

• Salary and benefits according to PIN salary scale and HR policies; expected salary of 4200 - 4500 EUR super gross (based on experience), monthly subsistence allowance of 1350 EUR already included;
