We are looking for a HR partner to join our dynamic and growing HR team. We are an organization whose primary focus is humanitarian and development aid not only in Slovakia but also abroad. It is the foreign humanitarian aid team that has grown significantly in the last year and has brought us the necessary HR topics that we need to start working on intensively. We are looking for an HR generalist with HR experience in foreign humanitarian aid.

Your job will be mainly:

• Developing and implementing human resources policies in accordance with international legislation and donor institutional standards (e.g. human resources manuals, remuneration and employment policies for international staff, overtime policies, supporting local HR staff in countries of operation in the development of national human resources manuals, etc.)
• Recruitment of international staff to work in our countries of operation and recruitment of staff to the RDD central team (Slovak/international);
• Coverage of policy and contract development for international employees;
• Career Development and Talent Acquisition - identifying key competency areas and creating a plan for talent acquisition, development and management; managing the shift of capacity between countries
• Development and maintenance of human resources systems and tools in the Foreign Humanitarian Assistance Department and support to local human resources in countries of operation;
• Close cooperation and support to teams working in foreign missions and projects in the field of human resources;
• Developing a competency framework for RDD and overseeing the performance appraisal process within the RDD department - preparing analyses and supporting career development as outlined above;
• Managing the onboarding/offboarding process of international staff;
• Organize, facilitate and/or implement training and learning initiatives for RDD staff on HR policies, rules, regulations and best practices;
• Actively support the maintenance of culture, values, and support internal and external communication,
• Advising, consulting and coaching the organization's managers preferably in the area of HR and employment legislation,
• Responsibility for proper and accurate filing of HR documentation,
• Creating and shaping organisational structure and job descriptions

Duty Station: Bratislava, Slovakia or distance work, with possible travels within Slovakia and to Ukraine, Lebanon, Moldova, Kenya and possibly other countries

Job terms: full-time contract (40 hours/week)

Contract duration: 12 months with 3 months of probation period, possibility of extension after 12 months upon available funding

Starting date: ASAP

Gross salary: Since the amount of 1 700 EUR depending on the professional seniority and type of contract

THIS IS HOW WE IMAGINE YOU :-):

• Experience in the humanitarian sector;
• Experience with international staff is a must, including recruitment;
• Active English both written and verbal, other language is considered an advantage;
• Experience in human resources policy development and management;
• Experience of working in a developing country or humanitarian context is a great advantage.
• University degree (economics, humanities or humanitarian education)
• Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint at advanced level are a breeze for you
• You have excellent communication skills and a pleasant demeanour
• You can work independently, accurately and responsibly and can be relied on
• You are a team player, flexible and autonomous
