Job Description
Job Title : M&E Technical Advisor - Chiang Mai
Type of Contract: Full-time position, 1-year contract (possibility of extension)
Department : Program
Location : Chiang Mai, Thailand (with occasional work trips to Bangkok)
Expected Start Date: : ASAP

Responsibilities of the advertised position:

Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for a professional and dedicated M&E Technical Advisor who will commit to contribute to ensure programme quality and respect of donor commitment.

The employee will work under direct supervision of the Programme director, and will collaborate with Directors, Program Managers and Social Workers.

The employee will directly support the Director of program in Chiang Mai and will be responsible to oversee all monitoring and evaluation tasks related to BDF direct impact programming in Chiang Mai as described below.

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:

1- Contribution to proposal Development :

-Support partnerships team with statistics and narrative insight for new funding proposals
-Work closely with programmes to develop the Theory of Change, logical framework and related indicators.
-Ensure M&E activities are well budgeted and reflected in the proposal.

2- Projects monitoring :

-Develop M&E plan in the inception phase of all new projects in line with commitment to donors.
-Develop the required monitoring and data collection tools (on excel, Salesforce, ODK, other platforms)
-Support team training on data collection
-conduct regular review of data quality and consistency on sales force and propose improvement.
-Generate dashboard and automatic report from SalesForce

3- Project quality and project Evaluation

-Produce analysis and provide feedback to the programme director and the ED on the programme performance and programme quality
-Conduct punctual assessments to inform programme strategy and quality implementation
-Support external evaluation when needed.


4- External and internal reporting
-Analyse data and produce reports based on statistics and qualitative data processing
-Prepare periodic presentations on project performance, needs and gaps.
-Support PM and partnership units with data and figures for internal and external reports.

Required skills:
Nationality: Any
Language : Fluent spoken and written English. Thai is an asset
Education : A Master or bachelor degree in a relevant field, such as statistics, social science, political science, international development, public health, social work, education, etc.

Experience Desired:
?Experience in design and management of log frames, M&E plans and M&E systems
?Experience in designing questionnaires and other data collection tools
?Experience in data analysis
?Good knowledge of project management is an asset
?Experience working within standards, frameworks
?Experience working with institutional donor funded projects
?Experience with non-profit organisations or in the humanitarian sector considered an asset
?Understanding of child protection / safeguarding

Skills
?MS Office including excel, powerpoint / experience using professional emailing/calendar system
?Skills in data collection, data cleaning and data analysis
?Skills in both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
?Knowledge of Salesforce, ODK, Stata and/or other data collecting tools is an asset .

Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday (flexible schedule) and occasionally on weekend & evenings
Salary: To be defined based on experience and qualifications
