Kailash Kher extended his hand to Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao yojana.
After many Bollywood`s famous personalities, the sufi singer takes a stand for the poor plight of women in India.
According to the sources, the campaign is for the encouragement of education for women and banishment of medieval notion of female foeticide.
The singer recently sang a song titled Beti for upcoming movie Woman From The East which is based on a similar concept. The whole aim of the song and the movie is to discard social biases, and to have an over all outlook towards life.
Madhuri Dixit has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
Directed by Jeet Matharru, 'Woman From The East' depicts the plight of a poor Indian woman, who is marketed as an animal and is made alien right in her own mother land. Stereotyping women and gender discrimination has been a common topic for many years. The movie reaches out the them.
