Paris: All passengers of an Air France flight were evacuated in Paris on Thursday following an anonymous threat, media reports said.
Flight AF865 had to land at Charles de Gaulle airport after taking off from N'Djamena, capital of Chad.
The plane was "escorted by a French Air Force fighter plane" and landed safely at "without an incident" at 4:01pm local time (10:01 a.m. ET), said a CNN report, citing a statement from Air France.
The plane was subsequently isolated and taken over by the authorities to check the presence of a suspected explosive device, the report added.
Passengers onboard the flight were evacuated and investigation has been started by the authorities, according to the statement, CNN said.
France's Interior minister Gerald Darmanin announced in a tweet that a crisis committee comprising members from across various ministries has been formed.
