THE MISSION

As part of Asmae's strategy and in compliance with its intervention principles and values, the Project Manager participates in the development and monitoring of projects in the association's countries of intervention, i.e. currently 7 countries (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Egypt, India, Lebanon, Madagascar, Philippines).

Within the International Action division, and under the responsibility of the Head of the “Missions & Projects” department, the Project Manager ensures the operational, budgetary and contractual management and monitoring of projects (single-country) and partnerships. . He works in collaboration with the multi-country expertise and programs department on quality issues and project monitoring and evaluation. She also collaborates with the Program Management Controller and the Private and Public Partnerships Manager.

He/She participates and/or leads cross-functional issues which contribute to the structuring of the association and the consolidation of its institutional anchoring.

THE POST

Participate in the development and management of projects & partnerships in Asmae's countries of intervention

1. Contribute with field teams to the development of new projects
2. Ensure monitoring of the implementation of projects on a technical and financial level (writing, monitoring, reporting)
3. Ensure compliance of activities carried out with donor requirements, compliance with the forecast schedule and deadlines.
4. Carry out proofreading and possible revisions of project documents (ToR, studies, etc.). If necessary, provide support/advice to field teams
5. Participate in the monitoring and management of partnership relationships (prospecting, opening, contractualization, closing, etc.),
6. Contribute, in conjunction with the expertise & multi-country department and the field, to the management of the monitoring-evaluation system, in particular by ensuring the proper use of different project monitoring tools by the field teams.
7. Carry out regular monitoring visits to different countries and issue recommendations for action.
8. Participate in the administrative, financial and budgetary management of projects

• In close collaboration with the program management controller, ensure the good administrative and financial management of projects (regular budgetary monitoring, budgetary adjustments, audit) in compliance with internal procedures and donor regulations
• In close collaboration with the program management controller, analyze project financial reports and check their compliance and consistency with the associated narrative reports.
• In conjunction with the Private and Public Partnerships Officer, participate in the search for financing necessary for the implementation of projects

9. Participate in human resources management

• Participate in the recruitment of certain field employees.
• Participate in the integration of employees based in the field as well as those at headquarters.

10. Participate in cross-functional projects

• Participate in the preparation and running of cross-functional workshops
• Contribute to the deepening of the thematic intervention framework in conjunction with the Education and Child Protection Technical Referent
• Contribute to the creation and updating of work tools (project and partnership toolbox, monitoring and evaluation, planning, etc.)
• Contribute to the completion of cross-functional projects carried out by the different headquarters departments

1. Contribute to the animation of external relations

• Participate in discussions with public funders and other institutional actors as part of the monitoring and promotion of projects
• Participate in inter-NGO networks and meetings

THE REQUIRED PROFILE

Training/experience:

With Bac +4/5 training in the field of development, international relations, political, economic or social sciences, you have at least 3 years of professional activity in the international solidarity sector (including one or more experience of field) and are familiar with working in headquarters.

Professional skills:

• Management of international solidarity projects on the ground, particularly in education and/or child protection and/or the socio-professional integration of young people
• Project cycle management, particularly in the context of institutional financing
• Analytical skills (geopolitical context, identification of strategic priorities, etc.) and writing skills
• Experience in fundraising and preparing grant requests addressed to public (AFD, DCI, EuropeAid, USAID, local authorities, UN agencies, etc.) and private (foundations, companies) donors
• Institutional representation with technical and financial partners

Specific skills required:

• Knowledge of the fields of education, child protection and/or socio-professional integration of young people
• Knowledge of gender-based approaches and children's rights highly appreciated
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and intercultural teams
• Mastery of the pack Office
• Excellent command of French and English, written and oral
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of the countries of intervention and their issues would be a plus
• Knowledge of climate issues would be a plus

PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS

Type of contract: Permanent contract (CDI)

Status: Employee

Starting position: End of April to beginning of May

Duration of work: full-time position (37 hours/week, RTT)

Remuneration: €30K - €34K gross annually over 12 months, depending on profile

Place of work: position based in Montreuil (93) – Teleworking: 3 days (charter)

Mutual insurance 70% covered by Asmae, Meal vouchers with a face value of €9 of which 60% covered by Asmae, 50% reimbursement for the Navigo or Sustainable Mobility package.
