The ideal candidate will have expertise in measurement, evaluation, and learning, and women’s economic empowerment in East Africa to support monitoring, research, and evaluation projects focused on gender equality in Kenya.The position is based in Kenya and is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include:

• Work with research and evaluation specialists to collate and analyze data on a routine basis.
• Participate in data collection with site visits around Kenya and potentially Uganda.
• Support data management and quality assessment
• Participate in evidence syntheses and systematic reviews on women’s economic empowerment
• Participate in secondary data analyses on women’s economic empowerment
• Contribute to costing and cost-effectiveness analyses
• Assist in the presentation of findings, conclusions and recommendations to program stakeholders as requested.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in economics, evaluation, statistics, informatics, mathematics, or another quantitative field and a minimum of four years’ experience in M&E, learning, data analytics or related activities for USG and/or donor-funded programs.
• Experience developing data collection and management tools.
• Experience in carrying out quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with research and evaluations on women’s economic empowerment in Kenya

Skills:

• Willingness to travel throughout Kenya
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
