Senior Officer Project Finance (m/f/d)

The Project Finance team is focused on renewable energy, and energy and resource efficiency investments (primarily project finance debt) through the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), with assets exceeding EUR 750 million. The team seeks a new team member to help expand and monitor the growing portfolio in GGF’s target region, which currently includes the Western Balkans, Turkey, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Moldova, and six countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the diligence, documentation, and approval processes for our existing pipeline of emerging markets, non-recourse financings.
• Use market intelligence and client discussions to identify new debt and equity investment opportunities.
• Model financing alternatives and sensitivities to enhance risk adjusted returns.
• Lead, or actively participate in term sheet negotiations, and analyze credit considerations.
• Monitor the credit quality and covenant compliance of an existing portfolio of investments.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external functional experts.
• Identify inefficiencies and process improvements as we digitalization our investment operations.
• Enhance and expand working relationships with clients, banks, investors, and advisors.

What we expect:

• Experience in structuring, underwriting, and closing project finance transactions.
• Significant relevant professional experience in the financial sector.
• Advanced degree in finance, economics, financial mathematics or similar.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, that will enable you to bring different stakeholders together and elicit their requirements for solutions to address their needs.
• Advanced excel / project modelling skills.
• Familiarity with using MS Office programs.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong team-motivation, hands-on mentality coupled with a diligent, proactive working attitude and an open communication style.
• Familiarity with financial accounting of banks and/or other financial institutions would be an advantage.
