IsraAID is looking for a Development Officer! This is a full-time position, based in IsraAID's Tel Aviv Headquarters, with work from home options.

IsraAID is an international non-governmental humanitarian aid organization based in Israel. Since we were founded in 2001, our teams have worked in emergency and long-term development settings in more than 50 countries around the world, and more recently a very large scale emergency operation in Ukraine. IsraAID responds to emergencies, and helps people affected by crisis re-build their lives, their communities, and their futures, together. From hurricanes to refugee crises to global pandemics, we mobilize quickly and collaborate with communities at the deepest level, staying for as long as it takes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write grant applications, proposals, LOIs and reports for charitable foundations, federations and individual donors.
• Research, map and identify new donor audiences.
• Provide development support to IsraAID's U.S. based fundraisers as well as country directors worldwide – includes help with proposals and report writing. Including supporting other countries e.g. Canada and Australia in the future.
• Input data in IsraAID's CRM (Salesforce) system.
• Present to visiting groups and at relevant events/conferences.
• Support donor visits to the country missions with logistical support and operations.
• Represent IsraAID at international humanitarian aid and other conferences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Native English speaker a must, excellent writing ability.
• Two to three years grant writing experience – proven record of writing grant applications, proposals and reports in English at a very high level.
• Willingness to work as part of an extremely busy team.
• Experience in using CRM/donor database systems – preferably Salesforce.
• Excellent writing, proofing and editing skills for varied types of content.
• Experience in donor prospect management.
• Experience in online marketing and campaigns.
• Knowledge of the philanthropic field – charitable foundations, institutional and governmental donors, Jewish Federations and individual donors.
• Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines – independently and as a team. This includes readiness to operate when IsraAID deploys to an emergency setting and workloads can increase significantly, albeit temporarily.

PREFERRED/AN ADVANTAGE

• Experience in the Humanitarian Aid, International Development or Human Rights field.
• Experience working as part of a resource development team.
• Good spoken knowledge and reading ability in Hebrew, and ability to translate.
