Lawyers Without Borders Canada (ASFC) is looking for a committed, dynamic and open to the world person who wants to contribute to making access to justice a means of change.

Place of work: Quebec City (downtown), possibility of working remotely from another city in Quebec
Start date: as soon as possible

Main responsibilities

The project manager is responsible for carrying out projects in Haiti as well as team management, budget, relations with local and Canadian partners, carrying out activities, monitoring, preparing and writing reports.

- Manages the projects under his responsibility to ensure the achievement of development objectives;
- Establishes priorities, determines the work schedule, plans and implements planned activities;
- Contributes to the situation analysis (country or sector) and to the formulation of intervention strategies;
- Maintains and coordinates relations with funders, partners and relevant actors in Canada and in the field, including the negotiation of agreements;
- Collaborates in monitoring and evaluation and ensures accurate, quality and timely reporting of activities and results;
- Participates in missions in the countries of intervention;
- Prepares, manages and monitors the budgets for which he is responsible;
- Ensures that accounting, invoicing, reporting and auditing standards and procedures are respected;
- Actively participates in the security risk management committee in Haiti;
- Supervise the preparation and updating of mission-related documents (country guide, mission notebook, standards and policies, security guide, etc.);
- Participates in the identification of project opportunities, their strategic monitoring and the drafting of technical and financial proposals;
- Participates in the development of representation strategies with donors;
- Contributes to the institutional activities of the organization.
And, in general, performs any other related task useful or necessary at the request of the organization.

Profile sought

Requirements

- University education in a relevant field (law, management, administration, international development), or an equivalent combination of studies, professional training and experience;
- At least five years of experience in results-based project management;
- Great abilities for teamwork in a multidisciplinary context, interpersonal skills, interpersonal intelligence, strategic vision and political sense;
- Excellent sense of organization, initiative, rigor and resourcefulness. Willingness to work a flexible schedule – sometimes under pressure – and to travel or travel when necessary.

Assets

- Experience of working or cooperating in a fragile state or in a developing or conflict-ridden country;
- Experience or skills in relations with governmental, institutional or private donors in the field of international cooperation, experience with Canadian donors an asset.

Working conditions

- Annual salary between $60,000 and $80,000;
- Permanent position;
