The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a credit from the World Bank toward the cost of the Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments for consulting services to be procured under the project.

Title: Selection of Inclusive TVET & Gender Specialist (Package No: S35)

Person -01

Qualification

• Advance University Degree in Gender Studies or related discipline
• Any relevant professional membership will be considered as an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in gender-transformative skills development.
• Working experience in similar nature project will be an added advantage;
• Proven practical knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art gender responsive approach in knowledge management
• Understanding of Government’s procurement Rule/Act;
• Proven experience in working with/in private sector.
• Knowledge on promoting gender equality.

Training & Suitability

• In country or overseas training on gender in skill development sector
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team;
• Excellent computer skills both in English and Bangla;
• Excellent English writing and speaking ability.

Duration

• The contract will be awarded for a period 24 months and extended every 12 months thereafter based on performance and availability of budget.

2. Commencement of the Service: 15-05-2024 (Tentative)
3. Certificates related with education, training and experiences must be submitted with the application.
4. Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) Project now invites eligible applicants express their interest in providing the services. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV with other details).
5. The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 [Revised September 2023] (“Procurement Regulations”).

7. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 [Revised September, 2023] (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
