IDF said he led recent efforts to rebuild Hezbollah’s combat capabilities.
IDF said he was 'managing the transfer and storage of weapons and assisting in the reestablishment of terrorist infrastructure that had been dismantled during the war, south of the Litani River'.
"The terrorist’s activities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," IDF said.
A Lebanese security source confirmed to Xinhua news agency that Karky was a Hezbollah official, without providing further details.
The ceasefire reached between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect from Nov. 27, 2024.
However, the Israeli army continues to conduct occasional strikes in Lebanon, citing operations against Hezbollah "threats," while maintaining forces at five main positions along the Lebanese border, Xinhua news agency reported.
