Global music icon Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially begun a new chapter in their lives, exchanging vows in a glamorous wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden, NYC, on Friday, July 3, according to media reports.

The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, were married in front of an intimate yet star-studded gathering of around 1,000 guests. Swift's representative confirmed the marriage to People magazine.

"The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They were designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom. This marks the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, while the bride wore Cartier jewellery," the representative said in a statement quoted by People.

Breaking from tradition, the couple chose not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift's brother, Austin Swift, served as her "Man of Honor," while Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as Best Man.

"The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler," the statement added.

Following the ceremony, giant screens outside Madison Square Garden lit up with the message fans had long hoped to see: "JUST T MARRIED!"

According to CNN, Sandler officiated the wedding, while the newlyweds wore bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture creations designed by Jonathan Anderson for the celebration.

The guest list reportedly featured an impressive lineup of celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, music and sports, including Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay, Peter Hermann, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, the Haim sisters, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, The Chicks, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hugh Grant, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Zoë Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.

For the occasion, Madison Square Garden underwent a remarkable transformation, with lavish floral arrangements and elegant décor creating an unforgettable setting.

Source told People magazine they had "never seen" the iconic venue "look so different."

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Instagram on August 26 last year, sharing a series of photographs from a romantic garden proposal.

Accompanying the images, Swift wrote: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
