Ebola crisis: The tree thought to be the source of outbreak

Boris Carpenter 02 Jun 2015

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa was first reported in March 2014, and has rapidly become the deadliest occurrence of the disease since its discovery in 1976. In fact, the current epidemic sweeping across the region has now killed more than 11,130 people - five times more than all other known Ebola outbreaks combined. Award-winning filmmaker Dan Edge has been investigating why the spread of Ebola was not curtailed sooner. He was taken to the tree in Guinea thought to be the source of the latest outbreak.
