• Analyze past grant reports, survey and evaluation data from the Mentoring Center program.
• Determine data-informed best practices and lessons learned in media entrepreneurship and sustainability.
• Identify Mentoring Center program alumni to interview for relevant case studies.
• Produce 10 expert resources to be published on IJNet, including:
1. 4 case studies
2. 4 evergreen resources detailing tips and tools related to media entrepreneurship
3. 2 multimedia resources
Timeframe:
The consultancy should begin in November 2020 and will last approximately 4 months, based on effective completion of deliverables, as determined by ICFJ headquarters program staff. This is a part-time consultancy.
Location:
The consultant will work remotely, but MENA-based is preferred. The consultant will report to the IJNet Manager in the Washington, D.C. headquarters.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution;
• Master’s degree or higher strongly preferred;
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in journalism in the MENA region;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with data analysis and research;
• Familiarity with media landscape in MENA and connections with media professionals in the region;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
