• Support and advise colleagues on activity-level M&E reporting, ensuring quality and consistency across technical areas
• Develop and/or improve guidelines and tools to ensure coherency in activity tracking in El Salvador in line to achieve project learning goals
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and analysis of project evaluations, mappings, and assessments as needed
• Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of project activity data in line with donor, MWH, and general best practices, ensuring data validity, reliability, and security
• Ensure that data collection systems and mechanisms comply with internal and donor standards for data quality, validity, reliability, and security
• Consolidate M&E inputs from staff and partners
• Develop timely and responsive donor reports as well as ad hoc reports in accordance with donor requirements
• Develop inputs to support annual workplan and MEAL project monitoring plan development processes
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or relevant field;
• 4-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably working with an international NGO
• Familiarity with USAID regulations and policies related to monitoring and evaluation
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and managing MEAL systems of various projects throughout all stages of the project cycle
• Ability to oversee data collection, management, and reporting with integrity
• Detail-oriented with good organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to work well independently and in team settings
• Provide deliverables in a timely manner
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Excel required
• Familiarity with survey design and data collection tools (e.g., KoBoToolbox)
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English
• Comfortable with working across multiple time zones and with remote colleagues
• Based in El Salvador (preferably San Salvador), with ability to travel to project sites as required
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
• Advanced degree in relevant field
• Familiarity with MEAL systems within health systems strengthening projects and emergency response projects
• Familiarity with data management
• Experience in improving MEAL systems at the country level
