• Review of technical narrative, budget narrative, detailed budget and relevant annex materials to align to donor rules and requirements (such as BHA’s EAG) for WASH Sector related programming
• Liaise with RI’s Program Development Team and Country Office program and technical focal points to ensure that the WASH contribution to the proposal is innovative, contextualized, relevant and technically solid.
• List of recommendations included as comment boxes/tracked changes in all documents, and summarized in email during draft and revision stages of proposal review
Technical Support to Existing Programs
Provide contextualized WASH technical assistance to RI programs that:
1. Incorporates leading industry standards and technology
2. Centers community and focuses on documenting meaningful change
3. Contributes to overarching program design and goals and donor requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in hydraulics/ civil engineering and a background in environmental science, business management concerning water and sanitation, or similar field or equivalent experience
• Successful professional experience in WASH sector and water systems working on donor-funded projects; including experience in fragile countries
• Solid background and knowledge of ECHO, USAID/BHA, and/or DOS/PRM rules and regulations
• Previous experience in supporting and managing WASH project teams on full project cycle technical needs (design, implementation, M&E, and lessons learned), including emergency or protracted crises settings
• Demonstrated understanding, experience and proven success working on EU and USG-funded solicitations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work virtually with team members spread globally
• Ability to turn complex, technical subject matter into clear & persuasive writing in English
• Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, with strong attention to detail
• Experience with copyediting, content editing advising and support with knowledge of AP style, grammar, and usage rules
• Professional proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing required
