The current position is based in the Direction of Institutional & Technical Cooperation (DACITE), which has three departments: "Africa, Latin America, South East Asia" (S3A), “Technical and Institutional Cooperation in France and worldwide” (AT) and "Europe, Mediterranean, Central Asia and China" (EMAC).
OiEau is looking for a project manager, expert in river basin management and in the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as related water directives. The position is based in Sophia Antipolis.
The successful candidate will contribute, under the authority of the head of department, to the following tasks:
• Project management;
• Carry out audit and expertise institutional and technical missions;
• Provide technical and/or methodological support to management, heads of department and project managers;
• Monitoring, prospecting and drawing up technical and commercial offers;
• Contribute to the development of the department and OiEau; (experience sharing, definition of common tools and methodologies).
Education: BAC + 5, generalist in the water sector
Professional experience: 5 to 10 years’ experience is preferred
Languages: Fluency in French and English required; Spanish desired; other languages appreciated
Technical skills:
• Good knowledge of the stakeholders involved in water resource management at local, national and European levels;
• Expertise in Water Framework Directive implementation processes, particularly with regard to management plans and programs of measures (governance, consultation, prioritization, financing);
• Knowledge of European reporting mechanisms;
• Knowledge and understanding of major water and water-related issues (e.g., Agriculture, Energy, Biodiversity) and arbitration mechanisms
• Management of multi-stakeholder projects;
Skills and Abilities:
• Adaptation capacity to manage international projects in a wide variety of political, cultural and institutional contexts:
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills;
