Sven Jürgenson, Permanent Representative of Estonia and President of the Security Council for the month of June, briefs reporters after the closed Security Council meeting on the recommendation for the appointment of the Secretary-General of the United Nations. The Security Council recommends to the General Assembly that Mr. António Guterres be appointed Secretary-General of the United Nations for a second term of office from the 1st of January 2022 to the 31st of December 2026.
